about Lahiji carpet
Ali Lahiji embarked on a journey into the world of carpet industry and artistry in 1987. It was in 1990 when he began his carpet design and production endeavors, taking countless steps along an endless path. His primary motivation throughout this journey was a fervent desire to infuse creativity and innovation into the process of carpet manufacturing.
During the 80s and 90s, the repetition of patterns and designs posed a significant challenge for newly woven carpets. Consequently, Ali Lahiji tirelessly sought innovation in patterns and novel designs. He even ventured into challenging the conventional dimensions of carpets, striving to break free from established standards and introduce a fresh perspective to this industry and art form.
His manufacturing activities extended beyond the borders of Qom to Tehran, and various other regions, contingent upon the type of carpets produced. Nevertheless, as a general rule, all the carpets bearing the Lahiji brand owe their distinction to their exquisite silk weaving and are inseparably associated with the province of Qom.
Emad Lahiji, the eldest son of the Lahiji family, harbored a profound passion for carpet artistry from a tender age, consistently accompanying his father on this creative journey. Since 2020, he has earnestly immersed himself in this family tradition. Following his education in industrial design, Emad Lahiji spared no effort in continuing his father’s legacy of creativity and innovation, offering a fresh perspective on the art and craft of carpet making.
In the realm of classic carpet production, he endeavored to breathe new life into this industry by crafting novel themes and remaining steadfast in his commitment to innovative color selection. In addition to his classic designs, he has for the past two years ventured into the production of modern carpets, personally overseeing every aspect, from design to execution.
