Hezar Naghsh

One thousand motifs in one carpet.
One thousand carpets in one.
We once set out to achieve the impossible. We wanted to create a carpet with a thousand patterns, combining the iconic motifs of Iranian culture and art with our unparalleled skills in design, coloring, and weaving. From Persepolis and its thrones, columns, and capitals to Rhytons, mythical creatures, and stylized flowers of the Safavid era. From bowls, vases, and planters to birds and other animals. From the underwater world to galaxies, stars, and planets. The sky was the limit for our creativity and imagination in design.
After countless iterations of designing and redesigning, we combined all the patterns into a concise blend of Lachak, Tornaj, and other styles to bring order to this boundlessness.
What allowed us to freely arrange elements in the carpet space was the use of irregularity.
In every seven centimeters of this carpet, there are one hundred and ten knots because we needed to work meticulously, detail-oriented, and unreservedly in weaving.
That’s how this carpet became one of the finest woven carpets in Iran with an intricate pattern.
It took two years for designing, seven years for weaving, and one year for final production operations of this carpet with a thousand patterns.
Yes, ten years! We spent ten years with love and passion to bring this masterpiece to life.
This unparalleled carpet with over a thousand patterns, one hundred and ten colors, one hundred and ten rows is the largest project ever produced by Lahiji Carpets collection until today.
