One of the oldest patterns of carpet and Iranian art. Perhaps the oldest document for using the Mohrramaat pattern on the carpet is one of the miniatures of the Shiraz school that was painted in 813 AH for the Khamsa of Nezami, in which a rug with the Mohrramaat pattern is spread. This indicates the popularity of this pattern in carpet weaving in the eighth and ninth centuries. Mohrramaat is a very simple pattern in general, which is done with narrow strips vertically or obliquely on the background or the whole carpet. But these strips or columns have many details. In Lahiji carpet, both in the classic and modern parts, new designs have been done with the focus on Mohrramaat. We try to keep this pattern alive with our unique details.
