Style inception date is Qajar Period. Hence, it is considered a modern pattern.
In Toranj, from the central motif, the pattern opens up like the feathers of a peacock, eventually revealing the feathers themselves. In the field, the fish are intertwined in a symmetrical and orderly manner, appearing in a light and shadow pattern.
In an inventive manner, pine fruits, flowers, and grape clusters are nestled in the crevices. Bunches of flowers and intertwined peacocks are repeated in the margins.
(Note: The “Toranj” and “Simorgh” are traditional Persian motifs often used in carpet design, and they are associated with elegance and sophistication.)
